Vacation

Vacation... got to love it right? Well, mostly I do. I was going to write a blog about how I hate to travel in a small truck with 3 kids that can touch each other, make faces, and hit, but I decided that instead of doing that I would write about my vacation. We are on our way back from camping. It actually was more of a family reunion thing than a vacation, but it was still fun.

We took our trailer camping and then went to the Beach on Friday. I love the water. We rented some wave runners and I spent most my time on the water. My husband told me to remember while I was out there (ie next to my brother) that I should remember that I am a mother of three kids and a wife of a wonderful husband. I had to do a double take. Really? Me? I need to be careful? I was stunned. I am not, in my own terms, crazy, while driving either an ATV or a waver runner. I like to stay alive. I like to be in control of myself and anything I am driving. Control, control control, that's my motto. I don't like going down steep hills, riding rides at Lagoon, or doing anything that is crazy enough that I might just get hurt....( i know, by just driving a car I place myself at risk), but my point is I don't like going crazy on vehicles, so when he told me that I needed to remember that I was a mother of three my jaw dropped. If anyone was crazy with their driving it would not be me. It would be my, oh so less, concerned husband.

However, I got out on that water, felt the speed at my finger tips and I went insane. I mean really, truly insane. I did brodies, I splashed water up on my sister who was on another machine (which you aren't suppose to do because you need to stay 150 feet away from any other water craft), I splashed myself with water, (totally on accident) I went over huge waves and almost knocked myself off a couple of times... my point, he was right. I was crazy. It was exhilarating. This morning I woke up and my legs hurt. Not just a, oh wow that kind of hurts, but a squat down and almost dropped to the floor because you legs hurt so much, kind of hurt. Crazy, that riding a wave runner can cause one so much pain. It was fun. I would recommend it to anyone, and I realized that going a little crazy is needed every now and then.
