Just got back from a Youth Caroling activity. Ah, the youth! The lovely, obnoxious, wonderfully spoiled youth! Gotta love them..., which I do, but right now I want to slap everyone of there faces. Rude, I know, but what is the point of caroling if you aren't going to sing? What is the point of caroling if the only thing you are concerned about is your damn cell phone? I can't stand it. I just can't. I love my girls. Absolutely love them. They are great when they want to be and a total pain in the be-rear-hind-end when they don't want to be good! There is no respect and all I want to do is yell, which as any good parent knows doesn't work just makes matters worse, but at what point do you say enough is enough?
The caroling part was fun, when they caroled, but mostly it was chatter, texting and jumping off and on a trailer that they were told not to jump off and on, and a snowball fight, which of course was started by the boys.
This should be fun right? I should have been able to laugh along with them, but my brain gets so conflicted when we are told to do one thing and then end up doing another, not to mention the fact that the people in charge aren't in charge type of people................ this. drives. me. insane...
There are rules for a reason people... c'mon!!!
Why am I so lame?
The hardest part about all of this is the fact that I once was an obnoxious teenager, full of self righteousness and disrespect.
Karma's a beotch!!!!
