Joy: Day Whatever

Before my baby was born I had a really good routine with cleaning. Every Monday I would do what me and my sister call Super Clean Monday. I call her on the phone and we gabbed while we clean. It really helps me to hear where she's at and how much she had cleaned while we are on the phone. Keps me motivated, you know?

After I had my baby I was totally out of sync with super clean Monday. I just couldn't get my grove back, and since I am apprenticing to be a midwife I just can't find the super clean grove. It's really frustrating too.

This morning, however, I got a little bit of energy and cleaned my room. It was disgusting really, plates, bowls, cups half full of water, and dust mites every where. I cleaned around my tv, started to put the movies away, dusted my dresser and got rid of the dishes. If I didn't have a water vacuum I would have vacuumed too, but I left the water in over night and it stinks--bad! While I was cleaning I put my little babe in his crib to play. Normally he doesn't like being in there. He's really active and loves being with hims mom and dad undoing what had just been cleaned. Yet, today he played contentedly.

I found Pandora. Wonderful, wonderful app on the Ipod. You can make a radio station to your preference. I made an LDS music station and right now I am listening to the most beautiful piano music. It is very calming and fits my food for the day. I guess it fits my babies mood too because I went in to check on him and he had fallen asleep all on his own. Ya, I probably would take a nap listening to this music too.

So, my joy for today is listening to good music and slowly cleaning my house. It will get done when it's done, but so far I have cleaned my bedroom, my babies room, and most of the upstairs bathroom.

Now, off to a prenatal appt.

pandora is good. I also just discovered Grooveshark.com and am really loving it. I like that I can actually put the songs I like in a list.
